On Saturday, the Snake Crew participated in an outreach event at Tumamoc Hill. The undergraduate researchers showed off reptiles that were captured the night before and spoke about the research that they are conducting at Stone Canyon. This was a unique opportunity for the public to view a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and Gila Monster up close, and to interact with nonvenomous snake species! Our undergraduates enjoyed participating in this event because they were able to inform the public about snake species that are commonly found in the Tucson area.
