Snakes and People from West to East

During their trip to the Netherlands, Alexus Cazares and Matt Goode visited the Institute of Biology at Leiden University. The two were invited by the Future for Nature Academy to give talks about Snakes and Urbanization. Alexus talked about urbanization at our study site, Stone Canyon, and its effects on rattlesnake and Gila Monster (Heloderma suspectum) populations. Then, Matt talked about the Ecology and Conservation of King Cobras (Ophiophagus hannah) in India and Southeast Asia. Both Alexus and Matt gave excellent talks, which were followed by refreshments and interesting discussions with the students and faculty that attended.
